THR has garnered many National and World Titles. They have not only achieved local Grand, Reserve Grand and Supreme Award winners, they have also accumulated multiple National, Congress and World Champions and Reserve Champions as well as numerous Top Tens. Many of their clients horses have reached their HOF in Halter and Performance within their first two to four years in the show arena.
With the move to their new facility, THR provides year around training for you and your horses. The spacious indoor arena and beautifully appointed show barn, boasting 24 spacious stalls for both miniature and ponies, along with a heated wash rack, prep room and tack area, offers you and your horses the very best in care and training.
Only high quality feed is used, and careful attention is paid to the daily regimen of each horse. Vitamins and supplements are given to help promote healthy hair coats and maximize over all performance.
Special individual care is given to each horse.
Grooming is essential to the overall health of each horse. Horses are groomed daily with an emphasis on the mane and tail conditioning weekly.
During the winter months hair coats are inspected thoroughly & cleaned to keep the skin and hair healthy. Each horse has an individual stall for safety, but all horses are turned out daily for "social time". Stallions have individual runs. THR's philosophy is " Healthy Mind, Healthy Body equals a Healthy Horse".
Horses are evaluated for his or her own strengths; using this information THR builds a training program for your horse. Each horse learns at a different pace and they make sure their program is flexible to meet your horse's needs.
THR encourages their clients to be a part of their horse's show career. They discuss your goals and set up a program to achieve them. The professional THR staff is dedicated to their amateur, youth and expert training program.
Getting to know Syndi ....
Hello everyone my name is Syndi Kanzler. I am not only a judge and trainer, I am a horse enthusiast. My life has revolved around horses since I was a child. I spent several years in 4H and attended as many open shows as my mother would allow. I lived and breathed horses. My first horse was a Quarter Horse mare that I rode everyday and spent hours with a trainer learning everything I could about equitation and horse training, conformation and showmanship.
In 1990 I purchased a registered Appaloosa and began my own career in training and showing. I spent the next five years apprenticing and attending clinics under several well known horsemen, evolving and growing with these experiences, taking what I learned and honing it into a program that worked well for me. I attained much success with my horses and those of my clients. I was introduced to the miniature horse industry in 1996. It soon became apparent I could train and show these small equine with the same expertise I had with their larger counterpart. After enjoying several years of success with my own horses I opened my training facility in 2000. Since that time I have been honored and blessed to show some outstanding horses to their National, World and Congress Titles.
During this time I spent months researching and learning about equine judging. Spending time talking with carded judges and attending clinics for several disciplines. In 2007 I applied for and received my judges card in AMHR/ASPC/Classic/Modern. In 2009 I applied and received my card with AMHA. I have judged several shows since that time and enjoy every aspect of judging. The youth and amateur are the lifeblood of the industry, I take special interest in making sure the youth and amateurs enjoy their time in the arena. I offer pointers and insight into what the judge is looking for and how they might increase their chance at being seen and present their horse in a way that catches the judges eye. I feel I have a lot to offer to the equine industry, both in knowledge and experience.
My background is based in Halter and Performance. With the knowledge that "Form to Function" is one of the most important elements in equine performance. I do several clinics a year around the Pacific Northwest, Canada, Idaho and Oregon. My specialty is halter and driving, with an emphasis on choosing the right horse, safely starting a horse in harness, condition and presentation. My plan is to continue training and presenting these beautiful animals. I also intend on continuing my education in this industry and hopefully pass on my experience to others. I would love the opportunity to judge a show in your area. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information and reasonable rates.
