Les and Syndi have been actively involved in the miniature horse industry for over 18 years. They started with a few select mares and two stallions, which went on to produced many champion offspring. They eventually purchased a few more mares to add to their program, many were registered AMHR.ASPC, this allowed them to broaden their market for the sale of their foals. With the addition of these horses Les and Syndi were blessed with many more National Champion and Top Ten accomplishments.
Syndi has always had a love of horses and showed Quarter horses and Appaloosas as a teenager and young adult. She trained and conditioned her own horses and competed in the A circuit throughout the Northwest. When she met Les in 1993 she still owned her full size horses but it became apparent that the miniatures were the highlight of Syndi's passion. After training, conditioning and showing their own horses for several years and attaining many Champions they decided to open their doors to outside horses. In 2000 Triple Heart Ranch and Training Centre was open to the public and the rest, as they say, is history. Starting with only 5-10 horses, Syndi now trains, conditions and shows well over 20 miniature horses and ponies a year. Her accomplishments in the arena include multiple National Grand, Reserve Grand, Champion and Reserve Champions, numerous multiple National Top Tens as well as Congress and World Champions.
Les is the glue that holds the facility together. His constant support and ability to keep things in order, from repairing fences and changing the oil in the trucks, to making sure Syndi takes breaks and eats at least one meal a day, is what allows Syndi to focus on the conditioning and training of the horses. He is always helping at the shows too. There is usually at least one or two exhibitors at the show with a flat tire or broken down RV to be looked at.
Syndi's passion for what she does shines through. From the care and compassion she has for the horses to the attention to detail prior to the horses going through the gate, it all shows in the willing attitude of the horse in the arena. Her honesty and integrity earned her the respect of not only her clients but also other trainers and competitors. She is always willing to help fellow trainers and exhibitors. Her youth and amateurs are some of the top in the Nation. She takes great pride in her horses and it shows.
Syndi is also a carded judge in AMHA, AMHR/ASPC. She is a great communicator and spends countless hours talking with clients and owners. She has a great feel for what's happening in the industry - both good and bad - and is extremely active in both organizations. She is a wonderful clinician and has been all over the country offering her expertise in the conditioning and presentation of the miniature horse and pony.
" My greatest achievement is watching all the hard work come together in that one moment, when horse and exhibitor become a team, working together to achieve a goal"
